Dreaming about vacations….

I’m taking off this week for spring break. Everyone kept asking if I was going anywhere for my time off. Sadly I planned to get some things done around the house like more painting and more spring cleaning. But I can’t help but dream about the possibilities. Where would you want to go?

Every summer I take the kids to Pigeon Forge, TN and Gatlinburg… and we will go again this summer. We also usually take a few days to go to the beach as well. But, just dreaming here… it would be kind of cool to go somewhere overseas sometime… like London, England or Venice, Italy.

Mr. M. and I have decided to learn Italian together. We bought a book to start with and want to eventually take a class. (I mean his mom is full-blooded Italian, it would be great to carry on a conversation with her.) So it would be cool after learning the language to actually take a trip to Europe, stay in a cheap hotel in London (like a hotel in central London or West End) for a few days and then travel to Italy for a few more days. We would want something that has good prices for the areas and being able to walk to many attractions would also be a must. There is a hotel, St. Giles in central London, that is great for Theatreland, Oxford Street, Covent Garden and Soho, or at least that is what I understand from their website.

Of course I'm just dreaming…. (but I do need a faraway vacation right about now… more about why later.)  Oh well, back to my spring cleaning…And now I have something to think about or dream about while I clean out the clutter.

But you know what they say… sometimes dreams do come true.
