The kite festival proved to be a success. At least for those of us who settled on our blankets on the park grounds and became enthralled with all the colors and designs floating near us. The day was windy and a little cool, but the sun was shining. The rain in the forecast had come and gone overnight, thankfully.
I read estimates that we had 12,000 people in attendance.
Families had fun; it was evident by the many groups that sat or stood nearby our resting place. Kass and Mr. M’s two boys tried their hand at flying kites amongst the best of them. We enjoyed watching the action in the beautiful blue skies above.
