Minus Eight Inches
Well I did it! I had been letting my hair grow longer and longer since late summer. (Remember the "Hairapy" entry?) It's been long for a couple of years now, but I had let it get past the midways point down my back. So it was longer and I liked it but I thought - maybe it's time for a change with the new year and everything. So Friday when I went to see Emilee, my stylist, I told her I wanted to be brave and do something different. We shot around some ideas: a long bob or an A-line cut graduating in length toward the face. Naaah. (Been there and done that five years ago.)
Instead I had her cut only eight inches off the length so it skirts across my shoulders with textured layers, adding fullness and body to my earlier heavy "lots of hair to manage" do. Not overly bold, but different yes and something I will have to get used to! I will post "after" pictures as soon as I can get someone to take a shot of the "new do".
Find yourself... keeping it real.

Can't wait to see the pic!! Here's to change in the New Year.
I realize it is probably a few hours too late...but you didn't happen to save the hair did you? Or is there a way to get it back?
It would be lovely and appreciated in a "Locks for Love" wig for a child battling cancer.
I agree with won! I was thinking Locks for Love too!!
Looking forward to seeing it!
Won and T, You are so right and I am kicking myself for not thinking about that before I did the chop! I knew it was too late when another friend also asked me about it the next day.
I hate that I didn't. :(
I'm glad I read this tonight! I would be looking for someone with long hair tomorrow at lunch.
I donated 10 inches to Locks of Love when I was pregnant with Ladybug. I love my shorter hair!
